How to safely redact a pdf?
A scanner that detects text still recoverable under PDF redactions, sold as a compliance add-on to EAS. It addresses the recurring failure where black boxes are drawn over text that remains in the file.
Use a tool that removes the underlying content, then save a separate release copy. Reopen that copy, search and copy text around each redaction, and inspect metadata, attachments and hidden layers. Drawing an opaque box is not sufficient. Verify the exact application version’s redaction behavior before distributing the file.
